This article describes the steps to add an email account through cPanel.

  1. Login to your cPanel. Ex: http://mydomain.com/cpanel
  2. Click on the "Mail" icon.
  3. Click on the "Add/Remove/Manage Accounts" link.
  4. Click on the "Add Account" link at the bottom.
  5. In the first field, enter the email address you wish to create. Notice that the domain name endings avaliable to you are already shown in the drop down list. If you have multiple domains associated with this account, you can choose in which domain you wish this account to be created.
  6. In the second field, enter the password that the user will use to access his/her account. Please choose a password that contains more than 8 characters and consists of both upper and lower case characters and numerical digits. Doing so will reduce the chances of a compromised account.
  7. In the third field, you can optionally set the quota for the user. We suggest leaving this setting at its default 10 MB.
  8. Once you are finished, click on the "Create" button.

At this point your account has been created. Please refer to the knowledgebase for more information on accessing your email through Outlook, POP3, or your web browser.
